We’re thrilled to announce that, together, we raised $438,346 at Dancing with the Barrington Stars!
Dear Bacoa Stars, Donors, and Sponsors,
Thank you to all of our dancers, donors, and sponsors for making our 9th annual Dancing with the Barrington Stars truly one for the record books. The fundraising was extraordinary, and the performances were nothing short of inspiring.
But what made this year especially meaningful was how deeply this group of Stars came to know and connect with Bacoa’s mission.
In addition to learning their routines, our dancers learned the heart of Bacoa:
Beth Coulter & Lesley Olson spoke about how their parents are redefining aging by constantly reinventing themselves and taking on new challenges in retirement.
Jennifer Lagoni shared how she fell in love with the Day Out Program and has committed to becoming a regular volunteer.
Kristin Cannon spoke about how her mother-in-law once volunteered with Day Out and later became a participant herself. Their family treasured how the program helped her feel connected and valued as part of the community.
Jennifer McHugh honored her mother’s role as a caregiver and recognized Bacoa’s vital role in supporting caregivers through every stage of their journey.
Dave Crosson reflected on what his family witnessed at Lunch & Bingo: “Isolation is not good for health. Bacoa does a fantastic job of providing community.”
Allison Murray shared her experience seeing the dedication of the Bacoa staff firsthand at several programs and summed it up simply: “It’s amazing.”
These stories remind us that Bacoa is more than programs and services — it is connection, compassion, and community.
I invite everyone to come and see all that Bacoa has to offer. Whether through volunteering, participating, or spreading the word, there is a place for you here.
Thank you for being part of the Bacoa family and for helping us create a night filled with purpose, joy, and impact.
With gratitude,
Sue McNamara
Executive Administrative Director
